The New York Times is an American daily newspaper published in New York City since September 18, 1851. In 1896, Adolph Ochs bought the unprofitable New York Times and organized the New York Times Company. From that time on, one of the famous Ochs-Sulzberger newspaper dynasties was founded.

The third-largest newspaper in the country, after USA Today and The Wall Street Journal and 40th in the world. The New York Times website is considered one of the most popular news sites with 30 million monthly visitor

In the 1940s, The New York Times continued to expand its reach and scope. In 1942, crossword puzzles began to appear regularly.

In 2023, the average weekday circulation of The New York Times amounted to about 279,000 copies, which is half as much as in 2014.

   is a daily international English-language newspaper focused on business and financial news. Founded on July 8, 1889 by Charles Dow, Edward Jones, and Charles Bergstresser. One of the most influential and largest American publications, publishing articles on topics such as politics, economics, business, technology, lifestyle, etc. The newspaper publishes European and Asian editions (in Chinese and Japanese). WSJ is published six days a week in print and online formats.
