                                The Symbols of the Ukrainian State 

The national flag of Ukraine consists of two horizontal stripes. The top is blue and the bottom is yellow. These are the colours of the sky, the rivers and the golden fields of our beautiful country. Blue and yellow (or gold) were symbols of  Rus' Kyivan many centuries ago. They were im­portant colours of the Cossack age. The flag first became the national symbol of Ukraine in 1848. It came back in 1992 when Ukraine became an independent state.

       The trident is an ancient symbol of the Ukrainian people. Its history began about 1,000 years ВC. In the 10th century, it became the emblem of Kyivan princes Volodymyr Velykyi and Yaroslav Mudryi. It officially became the national emblem again in 1992.

        The anthem of Ukraine is "Sche ne vmerla Ukrainy...". Pavlo Chubyns'kyi wrote the words in 1863 and later composer Mykhilo Verbyts'kyi wrote the music. First, it became the national anthem in 1919. In 1992 it came back again.

           Listening         Text “ Sports in Great Britain ”

British people are very fond of sports. Sport is a part of their normal life. The most popular games are football and cricket.

   Football, also called soccer, is the most popular sport in the United Kingdom. England, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own Football leagues and national teams. Games are played on Saturday afternoons from August to April. In addition to the FL games there is a competition called the Football Association Cup. The Cup Final is played at Wembley Stadium (London) in May.

   Cricket is considered to be an English national game. Its rules are very complicated. It is played by two teams of eleven men each, the player at a time tries to hit the ball with a bat.

  Golf is the Scottish national game. It originated in the XV century and the most famous golf course in the world, known as the Royal and Ancient Club, is at St. Andrew’s.

   Lawn tennis was first played in Britain in the XIX century. The most famous British Championship is Wimbledon, played annually during the last week of June and the first week of July.

   Those are the most popular kinds of sport in the UK. But there are many other sports such as rugby, golf, swimming, horse racing and the traditional fox-hunting.

It's 2023 and it's still a masterpiece! It never goes out of style. Years later and it's still one of the best songs has ever written. 

Imagine all the people living life in peace!!!

I love about this song is that John doesn't dismiss people out of hand  ()

I feel that the song was totally about peace and how the world can change. 

I think the main point is, he wants everyone to imagine a world where everyone loves each other and there are no restrictions or priorities. 

This song from John Lennon seemed to resonate with millions of people across the universe.   ♬♭

It's more about people not being divided again and considering everyone, no wars.

These lines make me wonder how it would feel if the people of the world would get along and be in peace. How would we fill if no one judge us ... How we would feel if everyone is having respect for everyone.

Wales
 Wales is a country that lies to the west of England, and shares a border with it.
 It has a population of just under 3 million people.

 About 20% of the population speak Welsh.
