     Art museums preserve numerous masterpieces/landscapes which prove that art painting goes back thousands of years. Even now we admire the mosaic and fresco pictures/images, icons that have survived through hundreds of years. Among the best-known portraits /icons is The Trinity by Andriy Rublev, a portraitist/painter who opened a new era in world painting.
    The works of painters, whether Italian, German, English, Dutch, Ukrainian, French or Spanish are always marked by a profound humanism and are reflected/ inspired by innovatory ideas.
The names of the greatest impressionists / specialist realists C. Monet, Renoir and Degas are well-known for their individual blossoming fields, so beloved by Claud Monet, the world seems to be constantly changing and shimmering.
Augusto Renoir’s favourite theme /topic is the bright crowd of a merry Parisian festival. Painters Cézanne and Van Gogh portrayed/expressed in their works the desire to return to an integrated perception of the world.
   In the middle of the nineteenth century, Ukrainian art found itself under the strong inspiration/influence of Taras Shevchenko’s art and verse. He created emotionally attractive still-life paintings/images and acquired his own vision of Ukrainian folk / rural life.
   Lovely Ukrainian natural scenes/sceneries inspired many Ukrainian and other painters to create poetic landscapes/portraits. Nowadays, Ukrainian art probably develops every well-known genre/trend, ranging from Neorealism to post-modernism.

        Music in Our Life

I love music, I think people can not live without it. The first thing I do in the morning I switch on my tape — recorder.

We can hear music everywhere: in the streets, in the shops, on TV, over the radio, in the cars, in the parks, everywhere. I think it's really doesn't matter what kind of music you prefer: rock, pop, classical, jazz. A lot of people are fond of music. They buy tapes, go to the concerts, visit Concert Halls and Opera Theatres.

I enjoy listening music because it reflects my moods and emotions. Very often when I'm blue, I play my favourite merry songs and feel much better.

Sometimes I attend music halls and the concerts, when popular groups and singers are there. I like watching music programs on TV. I like to know more and more about popular talented groups and singers I like.

One wall of my room is covered with posters of "Bon Jovi", "Scorpions", "Roxette", Ukrainian singers Monatik, Artem Pivovarov, Alyona Alyona and others. Some people go to musics schools, they play different musical instruments, sing in the chorus, try to compose music.

Unfortunately there are so many ungifted singers on the stages, that it makes me sad. To have a good producer doesn't mean to have good ears and voice. I think that only talented people can claim to be singers.

Genetically modified foods (GM foods

   Genetically modified foods (GM foods), also known as genetically engineered foods (GE foods), or bioengineered foods are foods produced from organisms that have had changes introduced into their DNA using various methods of genetic engineering.

    GM is a technology that involves inserting DNA into the genome of an organism. To produce a GM plant, new DNA is transferred into plant cells. Usually, the cells are then grown in tissue culture where they develop into plants. The seeds produced by these plants will inherit the new DNA. 

   Some benefits of genetic engineering in agriculture are increased crop yields, reduced costs for food or drug production, reduced need for pesticides, enhanced nutrient composition and food quality, resistance to pests and disease, greater food security, and medical benefits to the world's growing population.

    Do GMOs affect your health? GMO foods are as healthful and safe to eat as their non-GMO counterparts. Some GMO plants have actually been modified to improve their nutritional value. An example is GMO soybeans with healthier oils that can be used to replace oils that contain trans fats.

Genetically modified (GM) foods have sparked considerable debate and research regarding their advantages and disadvantages. + Advantages: GM crops are often engineered to be more resistant to pests, diseases, and environmental conditions.  Genetic modification can enhance the nutritional content of foods. .  Some GM crops are designed to be resistant to pests and diseases, reducing the need for chemical pesticides.   Genetic modifications can enhance the shelf life of certain crops, reducing food waste and improving food distribution.  GM crops can be engineered to withstand harsh environmental conditions.   -          Disadvantages: There are concerns about the potential environmental impact of GM crops, including the possibility of unintended consequences, such as the development of resistant pests and the impact on non-target species.  The widespread cultivation of GM crops may lead to a reduction in biodiversity as a result of the dominance of a few genetically modified varieties.   **Unknown Health Effects as the technology is relatively new, and the full implications may not be fully understood.  The concentration of GM seed production in the hands of a few large corporations raises concerns about market control, and the economic impact on small farmers. There is a risk of cross-pollination between GM crops and their wild or non-GM counterparts, potentially leading to unintended genetic consequences.  ***I think, it's essential to approach genetically modified foods with a balanced perspective. While the technology has the potential to address pressing global issues such as food security and malnutrition, caution should be exercised to mitigate potential risks to the environment, biodiversity, and human health. Rigorous testing  and ongoing research are crucial to ensuring the responsible development and deployment of genetically modified crops.
